TII is organizing the Insurance Sector Bowling League |
|
TII Bowling League, which was held in 2009 for the first time, with a view of bringing together the employees of the sector in a friendly atmosphere out of working hours through social activities, while enjoying the fair competition of sports, will be organized once again in 2010. Upon the requests from the participant companies, this year, the league will be played over 7 games, which was 5 last year, and the number of players will be limited with 5 in each team. Moreover, award categories are expanded with “High Score” and “High Strike”.
The league is planned to kick-off in January and games will take place once in every three weeks on Wednesdays, until the end of May. Participants will compete in individual and collective categories through the league, of which the rules of professional leagues are adopted.
Detailed information and invitations for participation will be released in December.

TII announced the Annual Training Schedule for 2010 |

TII has announced the annual training schedule through its web site to the sector. The major aim is to contribute to training schedules of the insurance companies and to enable long-term anticipation in training planning, while providing various training subjects which can also be referred in tailor-made trainings. As the schedule will be updated accordingly as long as new needs and expectations arise in insurance training, insurance employees can see application deadlines, training schedules and exam dates concerning the programmes below;

Insurance Underwriting Process Training Programme by TII |
|
TII is opening Insurance Underwriting Process training programme in December, for those who are graduated from Chartered Insurance Institute accredited Basic Insurance Training Programme and who are willing to obtain CII’s “Certificate in Insurance”. The programme focuses on risk evaluation, acceptance, importance and methods of pricing, terms, insurance products, coverage and related services, fraudulent claims and abuses, fundamental market factors in risk management, cumulative risks and reinsurance methods. Insurance Underwriting Process Training Programme will be held on 18th, 19th and 26th of December and open to general participation.

Ministry of National Education Certified Training Programme from TII |
|
TII, which has provided training services only for insurance professionals since the day it was founded, will be welcoming all parties who are interested in insurance business. TII has granted its status as an accredited institution to the Ministry of National Education in 2008 and has updated the existing syllabus on insurance education in accordance with the standards required by the Ministry, in 2009. The programme, which is composed of 170 credits, will mainly be on basic insurance, insurance branches, law and marketing. Through the programme which will start in 2010, it is aimed that those who successfully complete the programme will fill the gap in intermediate staff needs of insurance agents and loss-adjusters.

First Term of the Legislation Harmonization Programmes in 2010 |
|
Within its efforts in assisting insurance companies to adapt to the changes in legislations, TII has completed its preparations for the first term of the legislation harmonization programmes in 2010. In this scope, “Life Insurance Legislation In Accordance With New Regulations” will be organized in January and “Credit Life Assurance Legislation In Accordance With New Regulations” will be organized in February.

Growing interest for Training Programme for IT Specialists |
The first “Insurance Training Programme for IT Specialists” was held in November. It was aimed at facilitating work process between technical and IT units by equipping IT specialists with practical knowledge on insurance branches, calculations and evaluations.
“Basic Insurance Knowledge” and “Policy Process for IT Specialists” programmes which were held on 9th, 10th and 11th of November, 2009, will be repeated in the first quarter of 2010.

Advanced Insurance Training Programme completed |
Being organized by TII for the first time in Fire - Engineering Insurances branch, Advanced Level Insurance Training Programme, which has started on 29th of September, was completed on 19th of November.
All Risks, Fire Insurance and Riders, Machinery Breakdown, Loss of Profit, Electronic Equipment Insurance and Risk Management in Fire and Engineering Insurance, were among the topics covered through the programme. The participants will have completed the programme following the evaluation of their project studies.
The programme will be repeated in September, 2010, as well as a new Advanced Level Insurance Training Program in Motor Insurance in April, 2010.
