Further expansion in sectoral cooperation from TII: “The Corporate Membership System” |
Turkish Insurance Institute (TII), as a reference institution in insurance trainings and researches in Turkey, has introduced “The Corporate Membership System” in order to improve mutual communication and to enable corporate sense of belonging.
By the system, companies will have unique privileges in making the best use of TII services such as: training programmes, research papers – publications, conferences, seminars, social activities and consultancy services which are all sponsored by TII’s sectoral experience and academic knowledge.
Including insurance trainings and consultancy service offered in high quality standards and at the best of terms, the system will provide different membership options which are delicately tailored to meet different needs and expectations within the sector.
The Corporate Membership System offers;
- Feasibility in companies’ annual training schedule and budget; facilitating decision – making and purchasing process,
- Convenience for employees to determine training topic and schedule, which they wish to enroll on, in advance,
- Significant discounts in “Basic Insurance Training Programme”, “Short Term Training Programmes” and “Tailor Made Training Programmes”

TII is introducing the Individual Pension Training Academy |
|
TII is taking a new step to improve employment standards in individual pension and life insurance companies through “Individual Pension Training Academy”. The Academy aims at bringing in qualified employees, who are licensed and equipped with advanced sales techniques, to the sector.
Academy participants will be prepared for the exam to obtain the license; then will be equipped with practical knowledge of managing an effective sales process, analyzing target customers, diversifying client portfolio and advancing sales performance. Trainings will not only be addressing sales consultant candidates but also employees of other departments in individual pension and life insurance companies such as law, compliance, accounting, finance, etc. Employees of other departments in concern will be trained in accordance with the developments and updates in individual pension sector in order to be kept up to date, while ensuring that their professional capabilities are kept in progress.
Prospective participants will be allowed to take training modules completely or partially according to their needs and expectations. On the other hand, the Academy will also provide continuous service for the employees of the companies, from licensing and advancing sales techniques to keeping career development in progress.

TII Turkish Music Choir is welcoming season opening |
|
After a pause in summer season, TII Turkish Music Choir is welcoming season opening on 17th of September. TII Choir, which provides a stress – free, cheerful and entertaining atmosphere for employees of the insurance sector, will convene once a week, starting from 7 p.m., at TII.
After its first performance titled “Istanbul Songs”, which was a successful performance only after a two months practice, at the graduation ceremony of the 25th Basic Insurance Training Programme, and followed by a second commendable performance called “Spring Songs” in May, TII Choir will continue its practices with the lead of Mrs. Ayþenur Özpekel. TII Choir’s next performance will be held on 5th of October at the graduation ceremony of the 26th Basic Insurance Training Programme.

TII is introducing Advanced Insurance Training Programme |
TII is introducing Advanced Insurance Training Programme, along with Basic Insurance Training Programme which has been on the agenda for 26 terms, on constant demands. The Programme, which will be formed by various subjects as the Basic Training Insurance Programme, is going to open up with Fire and Engineering Insurance branch and start in September.
The Programme will include various subjects at advanced level such as: All Risks, Fire Insurance and Riders, Machinery Breakdown, Loss of Profit, Electronic Equipment Insurance and Risk Management in Fire and Engineering Insurance. Additionally, a case study comprising a project process from construction to operation will be developed which will allow participants to reflect their theoretic knowledge into practice.
As application process will start in September, only applicants from those;
- who are graduates of the Basic Insurance Training Programme – Fire and Engineering Insurance branch or,
- who have at least 3 years experience in Fire and Engineering departments
will be considered.

TII is presenting a new E-learning Programme: “Internal Systems in Insurance Sector” |
While TII has been keeping abreast of latest practices in insurance training in developed countries; it is also developing e-learning programmes along with in-class trainings. Internal Systems in Insurance Sector training programme, which was held as in-class trainings within Legislation Harmonization Training Programmes, will be meeting users from all over Turkey as synchronic e-learning application. Users, following their enrollment on the training, will be able to join the lecture simultaneously and to ask questions directly to the instructor by connecting to the system from their computers at home or at work. In case users miss the lecture, the videos of the lecture will be uploaded to the system for their consideration.
The training will be held between 28th of September and 2nd of October and will include the following subjects:
- Internal control; the concept of internal control, the importance and the scope of internal control,
- Internal audit,
- Responsibilities and jurisdiction in internal audit,
- Relationship between internal control and internal audit,
- Risk management, risk evaluation,
- Principles of practices in internal systems in insurance sector.

Insurance Training Seminars for Construction Sector from TII |
TII has carried out a new mission addressing various sectors to minimize economic loss and to decrease individual and sectoral claims by raising consciousness on insurance. In this scope, TII has developed an insurance training seminar by addressing the construction sector in prior and identifying risks, compulsory insurance types and optional insurance types which can be considered as crucial to bear risks.
The seminar is formed by many practical subjects such as: insurance contracts, relations between underwriting and pricing, and insurance period. As TII is still working on drafting the seminar’s schedule, trainings will be targeting the members of the Chambers of Commerce.
